At Santa Barbara Endocrinology, we believe in building strong, personal connections with our patients. Our direct-care model means you and Dr. Rivera team up to tackle your health goals, without the constraints of insurance paperwork, rushed visits, or fragmented care.
We made the deliberate choice not to accept insurance, because when insurance isn’t driving the agenda, your health is. That means more time, more access, and more personalized care at every visit.

Your First Visit
Every new patient begins with a comprehensive initial consultation — a dedicated, unhurried appointment where Dr. Rivera reviews your complete history and builds a personalized plan from the ground up.

A comprehensive, all-inclusive first visit — everything you need to get started on the right path.

✓ Coordination of care with your other treating physicians
✓ Thyroid ultrasound when clinically indicated
✓ Comprehensive, personalized treatment plan and patient resources
✓ Follow-up phone call to review results in detail
Fee-for-service visits are available for patients who only need 1–2 visits per year. If you require more frequent visits or ongoing care, membership enrollment is required to ensure continuity, safety, and the best possible outcomes.
ONGOING CARE
Membership Plans
Patients who require continued care, including prescription management, lab monitoring, device management, and regular follow-up, are required to enroll in one of our two membership tiers. Membership begins after your initial consultation.
Priority Care
$325/mo
or $3,600/yr with annual commitment
Unlimited visits included

$200/mo
or $2,280/yr with annual commitment
4 visits per year (quarterly)
